The wait is over! Pantone have just announced their Colour of the Year for 2023.
Ever since last year’s Pantone Colour of the Year took the eyewear industry by storm, we’ve been keeping a close eye on what colour trend would be inspiring designers this year.
Now, we’re excited to reveal the new big colour trend that will be setting the tone for 2023.
Pantone’s 2023’s Colour of the Year
This year’s Colour of the Year is Viva Magenta 18-750, a joyful hybrid colour of rich bright crimson red, that we’re already seeing featuring heavily in the latest eyewear collections.
Viva Magenta combines warm and cool tones giving wearers flexibility to make a bold statement or create a more subtle look.
What does the colour mean?
Pantone describes this year’s rich warm colour selection as deeply rooted in nature, as we focus more on the importance of the environment around us.
The shade is both brave and fearless, powerful and empowering. A motivating colour which promotes self expression without constraint.
The colour is full of joy and optimism and is said to help drive a more positive future, so we can take on new challenges and meet others with compassion.
